A web site accompanies the book Control Loop Foundation – Batch and Continuous Processes. Using this web site it is possible to perform the exercises for the 19 workshops and application examples contained in the book. Also, a video contained under the Solutions tab for each exercise walks you through and explains the exercise. One of the key objectives for the web site design was that anyone could access the web site and perform the exercises using their preferred web browser. Also, the web design supports the use of mobile devices such as iPad and iPhone to access the web site and perform the exercises and view the video solutions. By basing the web site design on HTML5 these goals have been achieved. The screen capture below shows some of the most common web browsers and mobile platforms accessing the web site workspace area that is used to interactively perform the workshop and application exercises.
In a previous blog I provided information on the web site and how the exercise, process description, workspace, chart, and Solution areas are used with each of the 19 exercises defined for workshops and applications. If you have not explored the web site then I would encourage you to give it a try.
